Estate Agents are the Devil

For a long time I was quietly convinced that it was the politicians of this world that were agents of some dark purpose but this last week has shown me the error of my ways. My friends I was wrong. Yes the politicians are a bit slimy and they can’t be trusted but it is the estate agents that are truly emissaries of the devil!

I think I’m ranting again without explaining so let me clarify what’s going on.

My partner and I are taking the plunge and we’re moving in together! It’s a very exciting time which is why I haven’t managed to get much writing done because I’ve had to focus on getting this house stuff sorted which has meant that I can’t do any of the things that I normally would. I was hopeful that I could get it all sorted quickly which would then mean I could get back to doing what I normally do but things are never that simple especially when estate agents are involved.

We found a house. We fell in love with it. We bought it. HAHAHAHA. That was the dream. That’s how simple I thought it would be. Not true.

This is what happened.

So we find the house, tell the estate agent we want it and he then tries unsuccessfully to sell me into a product he claims will save me money. When I say that I didn’t want it he told me that he was going to put the other potential buyer forward more strongly because they were going through the buying process with their company! What an ARSE!!

I valiantly stick to my guns and tell him to just contact the seller and give him the offer to which the estate agent replies that he will contact me the same day with news from the seller. Would you believe that he didn’t get back to me not that day or the next! So I pick up my phone and call the office again. I speak to the slimy agent of satan and he says that he hasn’t managed to contact the seller but we’ll definitely get it sorted that day! LIAR! No generic phone call, no communication from the piece of dirt on my shoe at all. From what I could gather the seller needs to sell but I think that the piece of shit estate agent is just trying to get more money from potential buyers and isn’t contacting him at all.

My estate agent is the DEVIL and nothing any one can say will convince me otherwise. I mean I’d heard other people tell me that before I decided to embark on this really massive step but I just thought they were exaggerating but now I know better.

Okay so my rant is over. I’m going to try and get some writing done. I was hoping to do a character interview with Wyatt and then post another chapter but I’ll have to see how things go. This thing with the stupid Estate agent is draining all my creativity and energy. I can barely think about anything that isn’t related to the house because of that man. I’ll try to call him again and make some progress on getting somewhere to live sorted. Wish me luck!
