Autumn Harvest: Fall Between the Pages

Hiya all and welcome to my Autumn blog hop.

Together  we're going to seriously fall in between some pages!!

I hope you're ready for some serious hopping! Let's go!!

My first thought when it comes to the season of Autumn is leaves and how much I hate them!! In fact, hate is too mild a word to describe how much I loath leaves. Once upon a time I used to think them pretty, beautiful in fact but then I spent months having to sweep a car park full of leaves. It was at this point that my loathing for them was cemented….but the next thing I think of is reaping in the fruits of your labour. In my case the fruits of my labour are my books. I sowed the seeds when the idea to write them first came to me. I let them grow with each word I wrote and finally I harvested them when they were ready to go out into the world and be published!! The thing that always amazes me about a book is just how much you actually manage to harvest from them. When I wrote them I imagined they’d fit into the paranormal romance genre and that was it! But with each word I wrote I realised that just wasn’t going to happen and by the end of it I’d managed to harvest so much more than just a paranormal romance book and that’s what I want to share with you. If you’re ready to fall into the pages with me then I want to share that with you. All you have to do is get ready to embark on a journey with me. If you’re not up for this journey then just click ME and you can head back to the main page and perhaps I’ll see you on the next hop 😉 If however you’re up for the journey then follow me!!! Right so on to the matter at hand!! The different fruits you end up reaping when your book is ready to be harvested. I’ll leave the choice up to you!

    Definitely Action 😉
I feel like I havent read any action lately and have been ignoring them, and right now, they’re pulling me back to the action world.

Who doesn’t like a bit of action! I know I do and I’m glad to hear I’m not alone.

It’s adventure for me. I like the mystery of adventures. You never know what or who you will encounter.

    • jennyt82

      19/09/2011 at 8:28 pm

I agree and even if you meet someone who you think you know there’s always the chance that could change. That’s why I love Adventure!

Adventure! Ok, maybe there’s some action mixed into the adventure. Hard question 🙂 So nice to meet you on this blog hop tour!

It’s nice to meet you too Julie! I love a mix I think if you try too hard to stick to one genre in a book it all gets a bit boring so I try to mix mine up.

I really like action books as long as they are not CIA spy novels and I love adventure books as long it is something I can sink my teeth into. Adventure that borders fantasy is okay, but I prefer to stay off the path to fantasy land. So my answer is: Action-Adventure! I like books where people are running around trying to solve a mystery or complete a specific task, a bit of the paranormal maybe involved, lots of stuff happening along their journey. There … that should be crystal clear, right?

I would choose adventure because on any adventure there has to be action! That way you get the best of both worlds!

    • Jennyt82

      20/09/2011 at 4:55 pm

That’s a very good point Amanda. Action and Adventure do go very well together and I think I’ve managed to blend the genres well in my books….well at least I hope I have 😉

  8. Carlie

    19/09/2011 at 10:00 pm

Adventure! It’s totally unpredictable when done right. And characters get a lot of development. 🙂

    • Jennyt82

      20/09/2011 at 4:56 pm

Adventure does have a tendency to mature characters a lot faster than Action. I think it’s the thinking that’s involved rather than the acting on impulse. What do you think?

  9. Julie Witt

    19/09/2011 at 10:59 pm

I definitely chose Adventure! And Rocked by Passion definitely sounds like an adventure I will enjoy!!

    19/09/2011 at 11:02 pm

adventure (which kind of goes hand n hand with action) but with an adventure who knows where the story will take you and my favorite part of any book is getting swept away…
    good luck to all!!

    terri_dion@hotmail.com

    • Jennyt82

      20/09/2011 at 4:59 pm

What a lovely way to put it Terri, I love getting swept away too. That’s why I love my characters so much.

  11. Rae

    19/09/2011 at 11:32 pm

I like adventure more only because I like reading about far off lands, journeys and what the hero and heroine will encounter on their way. Adventure also doesn’t have to be about places faraway; they can also be about living day to day, the obstacles that the characters come up against and how they over come them.

    • Jennyt82

      20/09/2011 at 5:01 pm

I do have a soft spot for a good bit of adventure and I quite like sending my characters on quests 😉

    20/09/2011 at 12:50 am

I love action especially the kick butt kind from either the hero or especially the herione. – LOL My second choice would be Adventure.

This is such a great Hop, I am finding new blogs, authors and their great books that I must read. LOL

    Thank you for the oportunity.

    20/09/2011 at 3:11 am

My choice was adventure. With adventure there could be surprises. You never know what you are getting yourself into! Love, mystery, thrills, and action could all be included with adventure.

    Thanks

  14. Jessica R. E.

    20/09/2011 at 5:56 am

I picked adventure because while I like action I would much rather read the characters slowly come to be who they are supposed to be rather than watch them fight, but that doesn’t mean I don’t like action. If it is adventure/action I know it will be a good read.

    • Jennyt82

      20/09/2011 at 5:03 pm

I think when adventure leads to action it’s an awesome meeting of genres!

I have to admit adventure is fun but so is action! A good dose of explosive action can be just as entertaining as a good adventure

  16. Molly(Reviews By Molly)

    20/09/2011 at 11:11 am

Let’s see, Action or Adventure? Well, action because it’s blood pumping, and Adventure because it’s thrilling. There. Can I like both? LoL. Wait. Blood Pumping and Thrilling…could be taken for the same thing. Hmmm..well, if I HAD to choose just ONE I’d say action! Definitely action. Thanks for hosting the stop. Oh and I did the fancy dancy stuff of subscribing and liking your facebook page because I loved your site here!

I like adventure better. There are more unexpected twists and generally more different things happen. I read your stories before you took them down from fictionpress and I loved them! I like your books a lot so I really miss reading them. My email is tania_kwong@msn.com

Ooh, don’t know this is a toughie. I clicked on action!
Then I went back just to see adventure!

Then I left them both behind for Romance!
Then I saw the Paranormal link. (I loved the interview w/ Kieron!)

So the paranormal was my favorite!

I love how interactive this is!

Okay if I have to pick between action and adventure I’d pick Action in this case, though I’m usually more adventure… okay I’ll stop rambling, lol!

You can’t really do an adventure without some action. Wow toughie. But I stand my ground and choose adventure. (knowing it will lead to some action).

Hmm, I would go for adventure more than action because action to me denotes lots of explosions and crazy stuff and no time to really think about what happens. Adventure is more creative and can cover more ground and time. There’s more room for the characters to grow and learn.
